This original used Bundeswehr KSK Synmat 9 LW insulated sleeping pad by Exped was originally designed to protect the German Special Forces Command (Kommando Spezialkräfte, KSK) from cold and wet. It stands out for rapid deployment and staying dry. The most outstanding feature of this insulated pad is the integrated hand pump, which allows fast and effective inflation without letting moisture into the Thermofleece-filled chambers. The Thermofleece fill provides exceptional insulation against cold from the ground without being affected by moisture. For added flexibility, a separate air pump can also be used. The mattress chambers are filled with microfiber that effectively insulates the sleeping surface from the ground. This well-thought-out design makes the air mattress the ideal companion in demanding environments. Deflating is just as easy: either press the deflation valve or open the release cap. Compact, easy to stow in the included stuff sack, and simple to roll up – the Exped air mattress is the ultimate solution for challenging sleeping conditions. This sleeping pad comes from Bundeswehr stocks and is in very good condition, but may show signs of use, and the stuff sack may vary.

What does surplus mean? Surplus goods come from military and government stocks. They were built for hard use – and are either used or unissued old stock. That means signs of wear, slight fading, and color variations between individual pieces are normal and part of the deal. What we rule out are defects – tears, damaged seams, broken closures, or missing parts. Every item is inspected before shipping.
No compromises on materials or workmanship. Only on price. Military-grade quality without a military budget
